Compensation:
Based on skill set and experience. A day in this role You arrive, review the day's prints, and stage aluminum components to spec. You prep and set up TIG equipment, dialing in amperage and voltage to achieve the precise arc you need. You'll lay out, position, and secure parts, then tack and weld assemblies in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. Cutting and grinding are part of the flow, as is switching between electric, gas, arc, or other welding processes when the job calls for it. Quality is built at the torch. You verify your work with micrometers, calipers, fixtures, and gauges, recording results in production and quality logs. You keep your station reliable by performing preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines, troubleshooting issues, and calling in repairs when needed. What you'll do Set up TIG welding machines and related equipment for aluminum work. Weld, cut, and grind aluminum across varying thicknesses. Tack and complete welds using electric, gas, arc, or other applicable processes. Read blueprints/drawings; lay out, position, and secure components per specifications. Adjust torch settings, valves, amperage, and voltage to achieve the desired flame or arc. Complete preventive maintenance, follow OEM instructions, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Document output and quality checks in production and QA logs. Perform detailed inspections using micrometers, calipers, fixtures, and gauges. Our expectations Attendance:

Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire). Successful completion of the CIT weld test. Experience with a variety of welding equipment and procedures. Hands-on experience with electrical/manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents. Knowledge of safety standards; consistent use of protective gear (face shield, gloves, PPE, etc.). Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail. Working conditions Manufacturing environment with regular exposure to loud noise, fumes/airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Work may involve chemicals referenced on accessible Safety Data Sheets. Expect moderate temperature changes during an eight-hour shift.
