Welder (Mobile Stages & Bleachers

Role Overview We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Welder to join our fabrication team. This is not your standard "weld-all-day" assembly line job. You will be building massive, complex mobile structures—specifically hydraulic mobile stages and transportable bleacher systems—that need to survive the rigors of the road and the weight of thousands of fans. If you take pride in welds that are as aesthetically clean as they are structurally sound, and you enjoy working on projects that move, fold, and travel, we want to talk to you.

Core Responsibilities Precision Fabrication:

Fit, position, and weld components according to blueprints and technical drawings.

Structural Integrity:

Perform high-quality MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on steel and aluminum.

System Integration:

Work closely with the assembly team to improve the flow of material around the shop.

Quality Mindset:

Inspect welds for "bead" quality and penetration to ensure they meet safety standards for public seating and overhead structures.

Material Prep:

Use plasma cutters, grinders, and band saws to prep materials for fit-up.

Skills & Qualifications Certifications:

No certification needed, but we value a solid "hands-on" test above all.

Technical Literacy:

Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and 3D fabrication blueprints.

Aptitude:

Basic math skills, read tape measure, able to convert decimals. Have an open mind and be willing to collaborate with co-workers, while also being self-motivated and self-sufficient.

Problem Solving:

A "measure twice, cut once" mentality with the ability to troubleshoot fitment issues on the fly. Physical Requirements & Environment Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions (kneeling, leaning, overhead). Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment with loud machinery. Commitment to shop safety, including the consistent use of PPE and maintenance of a clean workspace. Must have a good positive attitude, dependable transportation, and good communication skills. Attendance is key.
