In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality structures, and custom fabrications across various projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, mechanical knowledge, and working on diverse sites. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the value we place on your skills and contributions. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on various metals including sheet metal, pipe, and structural components following blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Utilize MIG welding (Metal Inert Gas) and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques to complete diverse fabrication tasks efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication. Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and quality standards. Assist with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, machining, soldering, and plasma cutting as needed for project completion. Maintain a clean work environment by following safety protocols and ensuring proper handling of materials and tools on site or manufacturing facilities. Skills Extensive site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures. Proficiency in MIG welding with knowledge of specific welding standards; experience in MIG welding. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and schematics accurately. Mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, assembly techniques, rigging, machining, soldering, and plasma cutting. Familiarity with power tools such as press brake machines and hand tools used in fabrication processes. Strong math skills including basic calculations necessary for measurements and fabrication tolerances. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred but not required.
