Stainless Steel Welder

POSITION SUMMARY

The SS Welder is responsible for the day-to-day production of Pulpmill Services' specialty welding business. Responsibilities - The position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to the following key functions: Essential Functions 1. Efficient in mig and/or tig welding of Stainless Steel 2. Proficient in reading weld symbols 3. Proficient in checking dimensions and thicknesses 4. Able to follow engineering plans, drawings and instructions 5. Other duties as required Expectations 1. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, etc. 2. Great sense of urgency 3. Good communication and people skills 4. Be able to think quickly and critically in response to scope changes on small to large equipment 5. Experience working in a metal fabrication shop 6. Ability to work independently and with other personnel 7. Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials Qualifications- 2+ years of high alloy welding experience. Valid driver's license/State ID. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Compensation- $18-28/hr (exact rate to be determined based on experience and qualifications) Per diem and travel covered during business travel Health Insurance 401k Paid Time Off/Holidays
