Job Description

The best candidates for this role will be: Reliable, dependable, and accountable Safety-focused and willing to follow procedures Honest and willing to ask questions when something is unclear Self-motivated and willing to take initiative Detail-oriented with good math and measurement skills Able to work as part of a team in a quality-focused shop environment Interested in learning specialty welding processes and equipment Job Responsibilities Responsibilities include: Follow all company safety policies, rules, and procedures Use safe work habits at all times Follow the company's ISO-certified Quality Management System Learn to operate fully automatic welding equipment using the GTAW-P process Learn to operate orbital automatic welding equipment Read and understand work orders, customer drawings, blueprints, specifications, and sketches Use basic math to help calculate welding process requirements Use measuring tools such as tape measures and digital calipers Set up and monitor welding equipment during the welding process Adjust gas flow using regulators and valves for specific welding operations Monitor welding operations to help prevent overheating, warping, distortion, shrinking, or expansion of parts Maintain traceability of parts throughout the welding process Preheat parts using torches when required Keep workstation clean and organized according to company standards Communicate issues, questions, or concerns to supervisors before they become bigger problems Qualifications Preferred, but not required: Prior welding experience Prior experience operating computer-controlled equipment, CNC machines, automated equipment, or similar shop machinery Experience reading drawings, blueprints, or technical specifications High school diploma or equivalent
Required:
Willingness to learn specialty welding processes Good basic math skills Ability to read measurements accurately Strong attention to detail Ability to follow written procedures and instructions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times Ability to pass a company welding/operator skills assessment Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
