Position Summary:

You will be responsible for setting up and operating Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) equipment to weld thin-gauge metal in various configurations, including both simple and complex "tube to tube sheet" designs. A key focus of this role will be to minimize HAZ and heat shrinkage. The ideal candidate should have strong blueprint-reading skills, the ability to work with tight tolerances, and a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform precision TIG welding primarily on stainless steel as per engineering specifications. Set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines (Miller, etc.) to achieve optimal arc stability and penetration. Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols. Inspect and measure finished workpieces to ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards. Maintain a safe and clean work environment while strictly following all PPE and safety guidelines. •

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on TIG welding experience in a precision manufacturing or aerospace/medical environment. Ability to pass a hands-on welding qualification test on-site. Experience bypassing or utilizing AC/DC balance, pulse controls, argon shielding gas and magnehelic controlled back gassing. Active or previous

AWS/ASME

welding certifications are highly preferred.
