  • Thursday Job Description We are seeking an experienced Pressure Vessel Welder/Fabricator to join our steel fabrication team in Middleboro, MA.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled welder with direct experience fabricating and welding coded pressure vessels in a shop environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in producing high-quality, code-compliant vessels used in industrial and regulated applications. This position requires a strong understanding of Section VIII requirements, welding procedures, and quality expectations typical of certified pressure vessel fabrication shops. Responsibilities Fabricate and weld pressure vessels in accordance with approved drawings, WPSs, and job travelers. Perform welding processes including GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW on carbon steel and stainless steel. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and specifications. Follow qualified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and maintain compliance with Section VIII requirements. Fit-up shells, heads, nozzles, and attachments to specified tolerances. Collaborate with Quality Control to support inspections, NDE, and code documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with shop safety standards. Participate in the continuous improvement of fabrication and welding processes. Essential Skills Direct experience fabricating and welding pressure vessels. Proven experience working in a certified fabrication shop. Ability to pass or maintain welding qualifications. Understanding of Section VIII (Div. 1 preferred), welding symbols, and fabrication drawings. Ability to fit-up and maintain dimensional tolerances for pressure vessels. High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a fabrication team. Commitment to safety and compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with welding processes such as GTaw, SMAW, Mig, and Tig.
