Job Description

Electron Beam Welder is responsible for setting up and operating electron beam welding machines to join metal pieces in accordance with specifications. This role plays a key part in the production process, including assisting in the development of new weld processes, and working with various departments to ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Operation :
Set up and operate electron beam welding machines to join metal components according to technical specifications.
Welding & Process Development :
Perform production welding and assist in the development of new welding techniques and processes. Collaboration with
Production Supervisor :
Work directly with the Production Supervisor to understand and meet customer order expectations.
Quality Verification :
Conduct in-process verification to ensure the quality and accuracy of welding workmanship.
Issue Reporting :
Notify the Production Supervisor of any potential challenges in meeting due dates or production deadlines.
Equipment Monitoring :
Monitor the condition and performance of welding equipment and report any malfunctions to the Production Supervisor.
Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance :
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) Department to identify and implement process improvements, as well as work instructions.
Corrective Action Resolution :
Assist the QA Department in addressing and resolving customer corrective actions related to welding quality or performance.
Inspection Tools :
Understand and properly use measuring and inspection tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
Interpretation of Technical Documents :
Read and interpret part drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately perform welding tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education :
Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training preferred.
Experience :
3 years Experience with Electron Beam Welding (EB Welding) or Laser Welding is required.
Skills :
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with welding equipment and measurement/inspection tools. Good communication and problem-solving skills, particularly in addressing production challenges and quality assurance.
Working Conditions :
The role requires attention to detail, ability to work with precision tools, and adherence to safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
