Job Description
Overview We are seeking motivated Welders to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Flint, MI. This position is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding metal components according to sample parts. Candidates should be comfortable working in a production environment where quality, efficiency, and safety are essential Responsibilities Perform continuous MIG welding on metal components and assemblies. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and sample parts. Fabricate, fit, and weld metal parts to required specifications. Operate welding equipment and troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed. Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to position and install movable parts. Grind, clean, and remove debris from finished weldments. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a safe and organized work area while following all safety procedures. Meet production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualifications Previous welding experience preferred Recent welding school graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply. Experience with MIG welding preferred Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings, is a plus Familiarity with welding tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and develop welding skills in a production environment Work Environment Manufacturing and production shop environment. Conditions may be dirty, dusty, smoky, and noisy. Fast-paced, high-production setting with demanding deadlines. Mandatory and voluntary overtime may be required based on production needs. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-stress production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
