Endorsement Mechanical blueprint interpretation Defect detection (quality control) Blueprint specification interpretation Mechanical fabrication American Welding Society (AWS) standards Steel Visual inspection for quality control Gas metal arc welding Hand tools Full Job Description Looking for a mig welder on first shift from 6:00am - 2:30pm. Needs to have a back ground in heavier weldments and structural steel. All welding is 0.045'' or 0.052'' hardwire with 90/10 gas. All welders get
AWS D1.1
certified in house and a large majority of our welding has to be to
AWS D1.1
code. Need to be able to pick up and move 100 pounds. Job consists of standing, kneeling, bending or laying down to get to the position the weld is required. Must have your own basic tools in a lockable toolbox. Understanding how to read weld callouts on drawings is a plus. Required to inspect your own work and repair as required before final inspection from quality control. Looking for long term employees and direct hire position. Blue print reading and fabrication skills a must. Looking for guys to build product to keep welders busy.
