The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum in a production or fabrication environment and takes pride in producing clean, consistent welds that meet quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components per blueprints and work orders Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications Inspect completed welds visually and with measuring tools to ensure conformance to quality standards Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety protocols Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or material inconsistencies to supervision Meet production quotas while maintaining quality standards
Requirements:
2+ years of MIG welding (STEEL) experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols as needed Experience welding carbon steel required; stainless or aluminum a plus AWS certification preferred but not required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Must have own rolling toolbox and welding PPE/tools.
Preferred:
Experience with fixture or jig welding Flux core welding experience
