Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Aerospace MIG Welder and become a vital part of crafting high-precision aerospace components! In this energetic role, you will utilize your expert welding skills to assemble and fabricate complex metal structures that meet rigorous industry standards. Your expertise in MIG welding, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive the production of top-quality aerospace parts, ensuring safety, durability, and performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced fabrication techniques and contribute to cutting-edge aerospace projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on various aerospace-grade metals, including sheet metal and pipe components, adhering strictly to blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure precise fabrication. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards. Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and press brakes to shape and prepare materials for welding. Apply knowledge of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards to ensure all welds meet industry safety and quality regulations. Engage in rigging, assembly, pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and mechanical assembly tasks as needed for aerospace projects. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to welding, machining, plasma cutting, and the use of power tools. Requirements Proven experience with MIG welding in a construction site or manufacturing environment; familiarity with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation related to aerospace fabrication. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills for measurements. Ability to operate specialized equipment such as press brakes, plasma cutters, and pipe threading machines while adhering to safety standards. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to aerospace welding practices. Experience with TIG welding or <
LOCATION
> welding techniques is desirable but not mandatory. Construction site experience or background in manufacturing environments preferred; familiarity with rigging and ductwork fabrication is advantageous. Valid certification or demonstrated proficiency in welding processes including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and FCAW; forklift or crane certification is a bonus. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of schematics, assembly procedures, machining processes, soldering techniques, and plasma cutting operations.
