What You'll Do As a Prototype MIG/TIG Weld/Fab Technician, you'll be part of a team that builds high-quality, custom metal components from start to finish. This position combines welding, fabrication, and assembly — not production line work. You'll work directly from prints, CAD models, and design input to bring prototypes to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel. Fit, tack, and fabricate assemblies with precision and minimal distortion. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and weld symbols. Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and toolmakers to develop functional prototypes. Use fabrication tools (brakes, shears, saws, grinders, etc.) for prep and assembly. Inspect and verify weld quality, alignment, and finish. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. What You Bring 2+ years of welding/fabrication experience (prototype or precision fabrication preferred). Strong proficiency in TIG welding aluminum and stainless steel (MIG experience also required). Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings accurately. Experience fitting, forming, and finishing complex assemblies. Dependable, detail-oriented, and driven to produce top-quality work. AWS certification a plus but not required.
