We are seeking a motivated and dependable Welder / Fabricator / Mechanical Assembler to join our growing manufacturing team in Carlton, Minnesota. This is not a repetitive production welding position. Our team members are involved in the full manufacturing and assembly process of industrial chiller systems. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving, and taking pride in building high-quality industrial equipment from start to finish. Position Overview This role includes welding, fabrication, mechanical assembly, piping installation, and general manufacturing responsibilities associated with the construction of industrial fluid chillers and related systems. Successful candidates must be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, capable of self-guidance, and willing to take ownership of their work while contributing to the overall success of the production team. Primary Responsibilities Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel and stainless-steel components Fabricate structural frames, brackets, piping systems, and mechanical assemblies Assemble industrial fluid chillers and related mechanical systems Install piping, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, electrical enclosures, and refrigeration-related components Read and interpret fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and shop instructions Operate fabrication equipment and standard shop tools safely and efficiently Assist with equipment layout, fit-up, and final assembly processes Support testing, troubleshooting, and quality-control procedures during manufacturing Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, engineering, and management teams throughout the manufacturing process Qualifications Welding and fabrication experience preferred Mechanical assembly or industrial manufacturing experience strongly preferred Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong work ethic and willingness to learn multiple aspects of manufacturing Ability to lift materials and work in an active manufacturing environment Valid driver's license preferred What We're Looking For We value team members who: Take pride in craftsmanship and quality Are dependable and self-driven Work well both independently and with others Enjoy variety in their day-to-day responsibilities Want to build complete industrial systems — not just individual parts Are looking for long-term career opportunities within a stable, family-owned company Benefits May Include Competitive compensation based on experience Paid holidays and paid time off Retirement plan options Health insurance opportunities Stable, year-round full-time employment Opportunity for growth and advancement Family-oriented work environment Apply Today If you are looking for an opportunity to build high-quality industrial equipment as part of a skilled and hardworking team, we encourage you to apply.
