Job Description
Full-Time | Day Shift | $25.00+/hr DOE Povolny Specialties is a Minnesota-based manufacturer of custom electrical enclosures, NEMA-rated cabinets, signal service equipment, street lighting cabinets, and specialty fabricated products. We serve electrical contractors, OEMs, municipalities, and infrastructure projects throughout the Midwest. We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Inver Grove Heights, MN. This position offers a variety of fabrication work and is ideal for someone who enjoys building custom products rather than repetitive production welding. Projects include custom electrical enclosures, cabinets, and fabricated assemblies built from aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and carbon steel. Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and carbon steel components Layout, fit, fabricate, and assemble parts and weldments from blueprints and shop drawings Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and dimensions Verify dimensions and maintain required tolerances throughout fabrication Grind, finish, and inspect completed weldments for quality and appearance Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, drill presses, and other shop equipment Work with team members to complete projects on schedule while maintaining quality standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Qualifications MIG and TIG welding experience required Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Experience fitting and fabricating custom parts and assemblies Strong measuring and layout skills Experience working with aluminum and stainless steel preferred Understanding of bend tolerances and fabrication practices CNC press brake experience is a plus Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a small team Why Work at Povolny?
