Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled welder to join our fast-paced, production environment. As a welder, you will engage in Pulse (MIG) welding on mild steel throughout the day, using weld fixtures and symbols to complete units within a specified timeframe. Welders typically average between 2,000 to 2,500 welds per day, focusing on consistent cosmetic welding. Your role will include loading metal onto fixtures, welding specific parts, and passing units along for further completion. This is a team-oriented position where productivity is measured by the weld cell rather than individual performance. Responsibilities Perform Pulse (MIG) welding on mild steel using weld fixtures and symbols. Maintain consistent cosmetic welding throughout the production process. Load metal onto fixtures and weld specific parts of the unit. Collaborate with the team to pass units along for completion. Adhere to safety standards by wearing appropriate protective gear, including a weld helmet, gloves, weld jacket, steel toe boots, and ear plugs. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Pulse welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret weld symbols. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Excellent memorization skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in fabrication and production welding. Ability to work in a hot, physical environment. Why Work Here?
