This role supports production operations suggest by safely operating welding equipment, completing general shop tasks, and ensuring finished products meet quality and order specifications. Duties and Responsibilities Perform welding and fabrication activities to assemble hollow metal frames and components Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment (e.g., SMAW, GMAW) Layout, position, align, and secure parts prior to welding; cut or alter materials as needed Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards Follow all safety, PPE, OSHA, and company policies and procedures Identify and report equipment malfunctions or material defects Perform general shop duties such as organizing materials, staging outgoing products, assisting with loading/unloading, and maintaining workspace cleanliness Assist with door alterations, installation of lite kits, on-site service work, local deliveries, and inventory activities as assigned Participate in shop meetings and support production needs during peak periods Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with prior welding experience Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, and safe operating practices Ability to read drawings, follow written and verbal instructions, and work independently Ability to operate a forklift Basic math and measurement skills Must speak English fluently Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted Overtime may be required during peak workloads Valid driver's license and insurability may be required Working Conditions Work is primarily performed Indoor, climate-controlled shop environment. Frequent use of hand and power tools, welders and grinders. Regular standing, lifting, and material handling required. Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in all work areas.

Hourly:
$20-$25
DOE Hours:
M-F, 7:30AM - 4:15PM Employment for this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
