  • PURPOSE:
  • To perform spot and MIG/Tig welding on parts and subassemblies
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Sets up welding equipment and fixtures when assigned by supervisor To operate all spot welders to produce parts and assemblies Inspect welded parts for conformance to prints. Report scrap and downtime to minimize waste. Must demonstrate proficiency in, and compliance with, all applicable Company ISO requirements.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to read blue prints and job sheets.
Ability to use quality control tools such as calipers, tapes, and squares to ensure final product meets company standards. Ability to operate a variety of related welding tools. Knowledge of welding rods, gas, and equipment settings. Several years of welding experience or completion of vo-tech program and some experience on MIG/TIG. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Must be able to lift and hold items for long periods of time. Math knowledge in adding and subtracting. Own a calibrated 6" caliper.

  • Balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, depth perception, lifting, bending.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Exposure to heat, fumes, sparks, dampness, dust, unpleasant smells, noise, risk of injury, handling irritating substances, small workspace.
