Fabrication Shop Welder (Day Shift)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures, components, and parts. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in various welding techniques. The successful candidate will be able to weld, operate specialized equipment, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
• Consistently MIG weld in all positions on carbon plate, structure, and pipe
• Achieve and maintain all required welding certifications to perform the functions of the job
• Willingness to do general labor tasks such as drilling holes, moving materials, and loading trucks
• Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations
• Effectively operate a forklift and overhead crane
• Must be motivated and able to collaborate well with people at all levels both in and out of the fabrication shop
• Work safely always
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Maintain the Lee Mechanical Contractors' (LMC) reputation
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds & frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
