Aluminum TIG Welder -
Key Responsibilities:
Perform TIG welding on aluminum and other metals to meet production and customer quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings. Set up and operate TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect welds for structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and appearance. Support fabrication, assembly, and repair of automotive or manufacturing components. Maintain weld records, setup documentation, and quality inspections. Follow company safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with TIG welding aluminum materials. Strong understanding of welding metallurgy and welding procedures. Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools. Knowledge of GD&T and quality standards is helpful. AWS certification may be preferred or required. Ability to work overtime and flexible shifts. Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Typical Physical & Work Requirements:
Standing for long periods in a manufacturing environment. Lifting materials and working around welding equipment. Use of PPE including welding helmets, gloves, and protective clothing.
Common Preferred Experience:
Automotive manufacturing or precision fabrication background. Experience with MIG welding and robotic welding systems. Familiarity with stainless steel and thin-gauge materials.
