Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated MIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on various metal components, primarily utilizing Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding techniques. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of durable structures and assemblies, ensuring they meet strict safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within a fast-paced construction and manufacturing environment, where your mechanical knowledge and precision skills will make a tangible impact. Responsibilities Execute MIG welding on sheet metal, ductwork, pipes, and structural components according to detailed blueprints and schematics Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices to verify dimensions and tolerances Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and positioning parts for welding using plasma cutters, press brake machines, or other fabrication equipment Maintain compliance with ASME codes & standards during welding processes to ensure safety and quality Operate rigging equipment and forklifts as needed for material handling and positioning Perform routine inspections of welds using visual checks and basic testing methods to confirm integrity Skills Proven experience with MIG welding across construction sites or manufacturing environments Strong knowledge of FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) preferred Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing weld quality and safety practices Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics for fabrication tasks Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication specifications Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols including crane operation and forklift handling Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail Join us if you're passionate about precision welding and eager to contribute your expertise to innovative projects.
