Job Description

Summary Join us for the SPX Cooling Technologies Hiring Event on June 3rd! The event will take place at our Springfield location. Our facility address is 2030 N Alliance Ave, Springfield, MO 65803. This event is an excellent opportunity to explore career options with SPX Technologies. Below are the positions we are looking to fill and some information about them. Entry Level Heavy Assembler Assembles metal products partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties: Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or Controlled documents. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, or other fasteners. Operates drills, hand/air impact wrenches, and hand tools. Produces a completed unit capable of passing final inspection. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Pay:
$19.54 Welder This position is responsible for operating welding and manufacturing equipment to build high quality parts, subassemblies, and finished product. Weldments vary in type, size, and direction and are performed on a variety of production lines. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 3+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred Experience with sheet metal fabrication, punching, shearing, cutting, forming, and assembly Ability to MIG (Wire Feed Welding)/GMAW processes Ability to weld light and heavy gauge sheet metal; materials include carbon black steel and stainless steel Formal training and certification in welding Knowledge of measuring instruments, hand tools, and pneumatic impact wrenches Ability to read, comprehend, write, and communicate instructions and messages Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees of the organization Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
