Job Description
DTC. Workforce Management is looking for motivated, energetic, enthusiastic Welders to join our team at Washington, Mo Duties and responsibilities :
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding tasks according to specifications and blueprints
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG welders, torches, and plasma cutters
- Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and quality
- Use various tools and equipment such as cranes, forklifts, micrometers, calipers, and press brake machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures or components using welding techniques
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow standard safety practices and regulations.
- Cross-training and knowledge share with peers.
- Other miscellaneous duties as required/assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months or more prior MIG/TIG welding experience preferred.
- Certification preferred, not required
- Must be able to work independently
- Demonstrates shop math skills . Satisfactorily completes company approved work sample demonstrating expertise for welding according to company standards.
- Can interpret blueprints, specifications, production layouts, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, etc.
- Previous work-related experience and/or any vocational training, preferred
