Long-Term Shipyard Opportunity Shift:

Must be available to work any shift HKA is currently hiring experienced Pipe Welders for a long-term shipyard opportunity in Mississippi. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of pipe welding experience and be able to perform welding procedures on stainless steel and copper-nickel pipe.

Pay Package:

Pay Rate:

Up to $48.00 per hour, depending on experience

Per Diem:

$180.00 per day for qualified non-local candidates

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of pipe welding experience Experience with Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, also known as

GTAW/TIG

welding Experience with Shielded Metal Arc Welding, also known as SMAW/stick welding Ability to pass a military standard X-ray welding test on stainless steel and copper-nickel pipe in the restricted 6G position Ability to pass welding assessments in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions, including 3G, 2G, and 4G Must be able to work in a shipyard environment, including heights, confined spaces, various weather conditions, and multiple shifts Must be available to work ANY shift as production needs change

Welding Test Requirements:

Pipe welding test is performed in a restricted 6G position Test is completed on a 5-inch schedule 80 carbon steel pipe

GTAW/TIG

process is used for the root pass 11018 electrode is used for the weld fill portion and cap

Job Responsibilities:
