Responsibilities:

• Novice welder with the capability of operating TIG ; MIG; and Oxy Acetylene welding equipment. Also common shop tools such as grinders, sanders and hydraulic straightening equipment.
• Familiar with reading and understanding engineering drawings.
• Moderate capability for using measuring equipment (tape measure, framing square, straight edge).
• General knowledge of shop measuring equipment, engineering drawings and cutting equipment to cut stock (tubing, angle iron, channel iron, flat bar, etc.) for simple welded miscellaneous assemblies and frame assemblies.
• Moderate capability for fabricating simple miscellaneous welded assemblies.
• Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss.

Conforms to departmental safety requirements.

Working hours:

6:00 AM

PM Skills:

• Detailed Oriented
• Experience with blue prints or sketches
• Must be comfortable wearing PPE for entire shift which includes, hood, coveralls, gators, gloves, safety glasses and shoes.

Education:

No Degree Required Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

• Able to pass a background check
• 1+ years of welding either in Tig, Mig or Oxy Acetylene
