Welder and Fabricator

Welder and Fabricator Moyock, NC 27958 Full-time Full-time We are looking for a skilled welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

Perform MIG, dual shield and Stick welding on heavy machinery and equipment Repair and reinforce excavators, buckets, grapples, shears and other demolition equipment Cut and shape metal using plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, grinders and saws. Ensure all welding and fabrication work meets safety and quality standards Inspect and maintain welding equipment ensuring functionality and compliance. Work closely with staff to troubleshoot and repair damaged components.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in MIG, Dual shield and Stick welding Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings Experience with hydraulic systems, structural reinforcements, and custom metal fabrication is a plus Strong knowledge of metal properties, welding techniques and safety procedures. Attention to detail Proven experience as a welder and fabrication

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and/or pushed) Able to walk/stand for long periods of time Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may part of daily job duties Must be able to work in summer and winter climates Valid drivers license and clean MVR Clean background Position is for immediate hire and is for full time employment only. No part time work is available. Candidate must be reliable, prompt and must be able to follow and carry out instructions accurately. Candidates must be able to fill out daily reports completely and ensure that they are submitted in a timely manner. Candidates will report to work in Moyock NC and will remain there throughout the course of the day.
