Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction sites, sheet metal fabrication, and various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and FCAW. This role involves reading blueprints, operating power tools and machinery, and performing precise fabrication and assembly tasks in accordance with industry standards such as ASME codes. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring mechanical knowledge, rigging, and pipe threading, contributing to the production of high-quality components and structures. Responsibilities Perform welding on various materials including sheet metal and ductwork. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Measure dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to meet specifications. Fabricate components by cutting, bending, assembling, and welding metal parts according to project requirements. Use rigging equipment to lift and position heavy materials or assemblies safely on construction sites or within manufacturing facilities. Maintain compliance with safety standards such as ASME codes & standards during all operations. Assist in pipe threading, machining, soldering, and assembly tasks as needed for project completion. Support the installation of fabricated components on-site or in the workshop environment. Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Requirements Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing settings involving welding and fabrication. Proficiency in MIG welding and TIG welding Ability to read blueprints, schematics, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, pipe threading, machining processes, soldering, assembly, and ductwork installation. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication projects. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication processes. Construction site experience is highly desirable; candidates must be able to work safely at heights or in confined spaces if necessary. Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Commitment to safety procedures and quality standards throughout all phases of work. Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
