Job Description

SUMMARY Has A.S.M.E. certification to weld fabricated components to assemble structural forms that are used in the air filtration industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Select equipment and plans layout, assembly and welding. Lays out, positions, aligns and fit components together. Select, read and adhere to proper welding procedures as required. Assembles parts by welding, bolting and riveting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Should be capable of lifting at lease fifty pound and be able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Must be able to freely bend and stoop. Must posses good hand/eye coordination, along with good visual acuity.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
It is required that a certified welder at Camfil/Farr be capable of performing Gas Tungsten Arc welding on metals as required A.S.M.E. Section IX of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. These welds must also have aesthetics in accordance with Camfil's shop practices. He must also be capable of performing simple maintenance on welding equipment.
