Job Description

SUMMARY:
The purpose of this job is to weld fabricated pipe components; meeting product specifications and quality requirements by applying appropriate welding techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Mig & Tig welding, preferably AWS certified Ability to weld thin wall tube applications Experience welding 3 and 4 series stainless steel and carbon steel Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead, etc. Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical/quality requirements of a welded final product Control the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of parts Examining finished products and spare parts to verify that they meet specification requirements Being in charge of preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment to weld Work within a team environment and train new welders as needed. Good mechanical knowledge. Ability to read blueprints is required. Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals. Environmental responsibility is our commitment to our communities. Proper disposal of waste such as recyclables, standard waste, hazardous waste, etc. is expected. Any other tasks as required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Reports to: Team Leader
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Expected:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Minimum of two years related welding experience and/or training.
Preferred:
5 years production welding experience and AWS certification. Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language. Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills Must be able to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Pay:
$21.00 - $27.00 per hour
