Job Summary:

At Cardella Waste, the Welder will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining metal structures, equipment, and machinery used in our waste management operations. This role requires precision, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication of metal parts and equipment according to company specifications. Inspect and repair damaged equipment, including trucks, containers, and machinery. Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety regulations. Maintain and care for welding equipment and tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. Carries out additional responsibilities as determined by management.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a welder or metal fabricator. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work in various environments. Welding certifications preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to sit for extended periods while operating machinery. Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Comply with all safety procedures and company policies.

Working Conditions:

Working Hours

• Monday
• Friday 7:00am
• 5:30pm and Saturday 5:30am
• 2:00pm Majority of time spent in a scale house/booth with exposure to outdoor conditions.
