Job Description

1" plate welded with 1/16" FCAW in the 1G position to be UT tested 1" plate welded with 1/16" FCAW in the 3G position for side bends Core Responsibilities Proficiently perform welding in the flat position Proficiently operate torch Lay-out and mark weld points Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications using measuring devices Complete and maintain all required records Proficiently perform carbon arcing Perform multi-pass welding Coach and train lower level welders Proficiently read blueprints Maintain attendance within acceptable standards Safety Activities Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Know and follow all safety rules and procedures. Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned. Minimum 2 years verifiable welding experience with 1/16" FCAW groove welds in the flat position Welders must be able to consistently pass UT inspection on a daily basis Must be proficient in gouging Must understand and know all Weld Procedures and Weld Maps Must be able to train according to Weld Procedures and Weld Maps Technical Skills Read Tape Measure Visual Inspection Blueprint Reading Maintenance on
Welding Equipment Education:
High School Diploma or GED Soft Skills Read, write and speak proficiently in English Strong interpersonal communicator, good listener and open to feedback Desire to learn Team player Flexible Attention to detail Interest and aptitude in technology Dependable and punctual Strong work ethic Adaptable Good social skills Problem Solving Time Management Resourcefulness Critical Thinking Ability to cross-train Leadership skills
