Sparks, NV Job Details Full-time $28.36 - $34.16 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Press brake machine TIG welding Forklift Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality welds on various metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in blueprint reading, sheet metal fabrication, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to deliver durable and reliable welded structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction, manufacturing, and ductwork sectors, contributing to the creation of essential infrastructure and equipment. Duties Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals including sheet metal, pipe, and structural components following detailed schematics and blueprints Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts Conduct quality inspections utilizing calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and weld integrity Follow safety protocols related to rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and working at heights on construction sites Fabricate ductwork, piping systems, or structural frameworks according to ASME codes & standards where applicable Assist with pipe threading, soldering, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly tasks as needed for project completion Qualifications Proven construction site experience with a strong background in welding operations Expertise in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, pipe threading, machining processes, and assembly procedures Experience working with ASME codes & standards for welding quality assurance Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks Valid certification or demonstrated proficiency in welding processes including MIG and TIG techniques Knowledge of construction safety practices including crane operation and forklift handling is preferred Join our team if you're passionate about precision welding and fabricating high-quality metal structures!
