This is a hands-on position for an individual who enjoys building custom steel assemblies, working from shop drawings, and producing high-quality fabricated products. Our shop fabricates a wide range of structural steel, scaffold-related components, overhead protection systems, material cages, gates, racks, and custom construction-related assemblies. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, works safely, and can contribute to a productive fabrication environment. Responsibilities Fabricate steel assemblies from drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions MIG weld carbon steel components Cut, fit, cope, drill, grind, and assemble steel members Layout fabrication projects and verify dimensions Operate shop equipment including: Band saw Ironworker Drill press Plasma cutter Forklift Read and interpret fabrication drawings Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy Assist with loading and unloading fabricated materials Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area QualificationsRequired 3+ years of welding and fabrication experience Strong MIG welding skills Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings Experience using common fabrication shop equipment Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail Preferred Structural steel fabrication experience Stick welding experience Forklift experience Experience fabricating stairs, platforms, railings, gates, cages, racks, or similar steel structures What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who can: Look at a drawing and understand how to build it Work accurately without constant supervision Produce clean, consistent welds Take ownership of fabrication projects Help improve shop productivity and quality

Pay:

$30.00 - $31.00 per hour
