Shift :
Mon-Fri / 6AM-3:30PM $30•36 per hour (based on experience) Job purpose We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our heavy-duty tractor and trailer maintenance team. This position is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, repair, and modification work on commercial trucks, trailers, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong welding experience with steel and aluminum, a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment. Duties and responsibilities Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum components. Fabricate, repair, and modify trailer and truck components as required. Read and interpret work orders, repair instructions, and fabrication requirements. Operate fabrication equipment including saws, drills, grinders, torches, and cutting tools. Perform daily cutting, grinding, torching, welding, and metal fabrication tasks. Remove and reinstall components when necessary to complete repairs and fabrication projects. Safely operate electric manlifts to access elevated areas of trailers and equipment. Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet company quality and safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with maintenance personnel and management to complete projects efficiently and accurately. Qualifications Previous welding and fabrication experience. Strong MIG welding skills with both steel and aluminum. Ability to safely use welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to remove/install parts as needed. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Safety-focused mindset in a shop environment. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to pass a physical examination. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required.
