Description A client of 1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Fabricator/Welder to join their team in Harrison, OH. This position is responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing components from drawings, blueprints, and sample parts. We are looking for a dependable self-starter with a strong work ethic, commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced shop environment. Overtime may be required based on workload demands. This is a day shift position. Key Responsibilities Weld, fabricate, and repair components using drawings, blueprints, and sample parts. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with team members and internal/external customers. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Maintain organized and safe work areas while ensuring security and efficiency. Meet productivity, quality, and safety standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of welding and fabrication experience required. Must be highly proficient and able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in: FCAW (3G & 4G) GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) SMAW (3G & 4G) Experience operating brake, shear, grinders, and fabrication equipment. Experience working in a shop environment utilizing SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes. Heavy fabrication and repair experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Reliable with strong attendance and punctuality. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities. Certifications & Licenses Ability to successfully pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding processes as listed above. Requirements Physical Demands & Requirements The physical demands listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Frequent standing, walking, lifting/carrying, reaching, stooping, pushing/pulling, climbing ladders, repetitive motions, and hand-eye coordination required. Close vision required. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Employees are required to stand for more than 90% of the workday. Work Environment Welding and fabrication shop environment. Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Fast-paced environment with deadline-driven workloads. Frequent exposure to heat, temperature changes, humidity, noise, fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts. PPE required in designated areas, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and hard hats. Manufacturing areas may have loud noise levels.
