Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30

Company-paid Medical, Dental, Vision, and Paid Time Off Position Summary The Weld Prep Mechanic is responsible for preparing and assembling components used in the fabrication of heat exchangers. This role ensures all materials and sub-components meet required specifications prior to welding. Key Responsibilities Prepare cores for welding, including straightening and soap testing Clean and prepare sub-components for use in the welding process Set up cores and components in welding fixtures and prepare units for welding Perform leak testing on cores Inspect welds for visible defects such as missing welds, voids, or excess material Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards Support additional tasks as needed Required Skills & Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Basic math skills Experience using measuring tools and shop equipment, including: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, grinders, sanders, band saws, drill presses, and hydraulic presses Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Previous shop floor or manufacturing experience preferred

Pay Details:
