THE WORK
Performs welding processes on aluminum and steel parts. RMS Owego MTA is seeking a welder to support our production manufacturing facility whose mission is to fabricate machined components needed for the success of our armed forces both at home and abroad. The Owego MTA is instrumental in the production of various components utilized on helicopters, radar systems, and electronic warfare systems that are vital to the success of our service men and women.
WHO YOU ARE A
welder at RMS Owego MTA will be responsible for a variety of MIG and TIG production welding, as well as maintenance repairs. A welder should feel comfortable working to written work instructions as well as manufacturing drawings. You must be able to setup any necessary fixturing, fit up parts to print, weld, and grind. Most weldments are tight tolerance machined or formed aluminum and structural steel. You will be required to certify on a variety of welding processes once hired. Welders may also be asked to certify on friction stir welding processes using CNC controlled friction stir weld equipment.

Basic Qualifications:
1-3 years experience welding aluminum and steel parts. 2+ years of GMAW and GTAW welding 2+ years of weld fit up Understanding of weld symbols, prints and drawings Ability to work effectively and reliably as part of an integrated team.
Desired Skills:
Understanding of weld inspection process and associated terminology Media blasting experience

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $43,100 - $76,130. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $49,700 - $82,685.
