Job Description
Job Overview We are a small, family owned and operated Fabrication Shop seeking skilled Welders to join our team on day shift only. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural and heavy plate fabrication. This role requires proficiency in using various power tools and plasma cutting equipment. The Welder will play a crucial role in fabricating components to meet project specifications while ensuring high-quality standards. Selected Candidates will need to be willing to work overtime as required. Duties Perform welding tasks using flux core and solid wire on various materials. Operate power tools and plasma cutting machine. Safely operate overhead crane using standard rigging processes. Clean and inspect finished process for quality assurance and adherence to specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines. Qualifications Proven experience in welding, preferably with medium to heavy plate fabrications. Ability to weld in all positions using 1/16" and 3/32" diameter wire, air arc, and hand burning. Strong understanding of welding techniques and safety practices. Working knowledge of industry standards for welding and fabrication including weld symbols. Proficient in using power tools related to metal fabrication. Must possess own hand tools and tool box. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to projects. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
