Welder Training Program

Welder Training School June 1st through 5th Sundowner is offering a special five day training school for welders. Only five (5) candidates will be selected, so spots are limited. Previous experience is not required, but a willingness to learn is. Upon successful completion of training and a passed welding exam, candidates will be placed in a Full Time Welding Position. • Pay will be $18.00 per hour during training. Welder Job Description for successful candidates: Welders at Sundowner weld and fit aluminum and steel for the manufacture of horse, stock, cargo, car haulers, utility, RV, and specialty trailers. Welding is performed on standing jigs, table jigs, or the trailers themselves, depending on the area. There is standing, walking and working 8+ hours per day; use of multiple power tools including saws, drills, grinders, etc.; lifting up to 20 lbs constantly throughout day, up to 50 lbs frequently, 100 lbs occasionally.

Work shift:

6am to 2pm Monday through Friday, Overtime as necessary. Weekly attendance bonus available.

Overtime:

Required as scheduled (weekends included) Bi-Weekly Pay

NO ROTATING OR NIGHT SHIFTS

$250 Hiring Bonus after 100 Working Days •Candidates who do not pass welding exam may be offered a General Production position at a lower rate of pay.
