Solderer Job Description This role focuses on electronic soldering of test equipment, with a strong emphasis on fine pitch soldering and precise work with small components. The position follows a weekday schedule and offers the option to shift to an earlier start time after training. Responsibilities Perform electronic assembly of medical test equipment according to drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. Carry out mechanical assembly of units, ensuring all components fit and function correctly. Execute fine pitch soldering on circuit boards and assemblies with a high level of accuracy and consistency. Solder and wire units, including stuffing boards and ensuring proper component placement and orientation. Produce cable assemblies by cutting, stripping, and preparing wires to specified lengths and configurations. Assemble probe units and related electronic subassemblies using appropriate tools and techniques. Identify part orientation and direction on circuit boards to ensure correct installation and functionality. Work with small parts and components at a bench, maintaining organization and attention to detail throughout the process. Follow safety procedures and quality guidelines while handling tools, soldering equipment, and electronic components. Lift and move assemblies or materials up to 30 lbs occasionally as part of the assembly process. Read, interpret, and follow drawings, documents, and written instructions in English to complete assigned tasks accurately. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a calm, efficient workflow. Essential Skills Hands-on experience in electronic assembly, including working with circuit boards and electronic components. Proficiency in fine pitch soldering with consistent quality and reliability. Ability to perform soldering assembly work, including wiring units and stuffing boards. Skill in producing cable assemblies, including cutting and stripping wires accurately. Ability to work effectively with small parts and delicate components. Capability to identify parts and their direction on a circuit board to ensure correct placement. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods at a bench. Ability to read, write, and speak English to interpret drawings, documents, and work instructions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience electronics manufacturing processes. Familiarity with standard tools and equipment used in electronic and mechanical assembly. Attention to detail and steady hand coordination for precise soldering and assembly work. Strong focus on quality and consistency when working with medical test equipment.
