ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Welding, cutting, general fabrication. Assists Project Lead in custom design as required. Communicates regularly with Project Lead to ensure client expectations are met.
JOB DUTIES
Takes direction from management and Lead Builders. Advises on specifications of items to be constructed. Plans methods and operations based on CAD drawings or oral/written instruction. Operates equipment, including power saws, shears, forklift, welders, and other power and hand tools. Reports quality and control issues to Project Lead. Monitors and identifies defects of materials and communicates said defects to Lead Builder. Assists in organization and development of metal shop. Communicates frequently with the Project Lead on timeline, project scope changes and status of project. Travels as necessary. Maintains a safe work environment and abides by all established safety standards. Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance. Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. Displays excellent communication skills required in working with customers and coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure. Respectfully takes direction from manager. Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience with the types of materials, raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs, methods and tools involved for build design is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Has the minimal skills necessary to operate a computer. Can log on to a computer system, navigate in windows, perform simple tasks within applications and enter information into a database.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
This position does not require any certificates, licenses or registrations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
