Shift:
Day & Swing Shift Available Position Overview We are seeking skilled Welders to join a fabrication shop specializing in structural and ornamental projects. This role involves MIG and flux core welding, blueprint interpretation, and hands-on fabrication work. You'll be working on a variety of custom, non-repetitive projects, allowing you to showcase your craftsmanship and technical skills. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG and flux core welding on structural and ornamental steel components Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to determine layout, measurements, and welding requirements Lay out, fit, and assemble parts prior to welding, ensuring proper alignment and tolerances Set up and adjust welding equipment for various materials and thicknesses Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and certifications Follow project specifications to assemble and weld custom structures and ornamental pieces Maintain welding tools and equipment, reporting any issues as needed Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment in a shop environment Required Skills & Qualifications Strong experience with MIG welding on structural and ornamental steel Proficiency in flux core welding for structural applications Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings Experience with layout and fitting prior to welding Current WABO or
AWS D1.1
certification (preferred in 2G and 3G positions; must be in possession) High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fabrication shop environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working on custom structural and ornamental fabrication projects Ability to troubleshoot and adjust welding parameters for different applications Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable work ethic with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Why Join Us? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
