Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic team in two locations: Tigard and Sherwood. This vital role combines hands-on fabrication, welding, and assembly work to produce high-quality metal components and structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects on construction sites and manufacturing facilities, utilizing advanced welding techniques and fabrication skills to meet project specifications and standards. Duties Perform welding using SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), MIG,, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication and assembly of components. Read and interpret weld symbols Conduct rigging, lifting, and crane operations safely while installing fabricated components on construction sites or manufacturing floors. Measure materials with precision using calipers and micrometers; perform basic math calculations for dimensions and tolerances. Follow ASME codes & standards for welding quality assurance; ensure all work complies with safety protocols and project specifications. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; adhere strictly to safety procedures during fabrication activities. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks; support mechanical knowledge application in complex fabrication projects. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing facilities with a focus on welding, fabrication, or fitting roles. Proficiency in SMAW (stick welding), MIG welding, FCAW processes; experience with D1.5 specific welding preferred. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of rigging operations including crane handling for lifting heavy components safely. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of pipe threading, ductwork installation, assembly processes, and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to welding quality control; adherence to safety regulations at all times. Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for precise measurements; experience with machining or soldering is a plus.
