This position will focus primarily on MIG, Flux Core, & TIG welding (depending on department) and requires proficiency in welding aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience welding/fabricating, be required to perform weld tests, read tape measures, and work at heights on platform ladders and scissor lifts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

MIG, Flux Core, TIG Welding:

Perform 90% MIG/Flux Core welding, primarily on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components, ensuring strong and precise welds.

Structural & Sheet Metal Welding:

Weld heavy tubing and sheet metal (14 gauge), including structural and plenum work.

Fabrication:

Assist in the fabrication of custom components, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and design specifications.

Weld Testing:

Conduct weld tests to ensure the strength, integrity, and quality of the welds.

Blueprint & Tape Measure Reading:

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine welding requirements; accurately measure and cut materials using tape measures. Fraction to

Decimal Conversions:

Use basic math skills to convert fractions to decimals and ensure the accuracy of measurements for welding projects. Work at

Heights:

Safely operate platform ladders and scissor lifts to perform welding tasks in elevated work areas.

Safety & Cleanliness:

Follow all safety protocols and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE); maintain a clean and organized work environment. Min USD $22.00/Hr. Max USD $28.00/Hr. Minimum Education High School Minimum Years of Experience 0-2

Specific Qualifications Education & Experience:

Experience:

At least 2 years of welding experience, including MIG welding, structural welding, and sheet metal welding.

Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with working with blueprints, hand tools power tools, and welders

Math Skills:

Proficient in reading and converting fractions to decimals.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs. Ability to work at heights using platform ladders and scissor lifts. Ability to work in various positions, including standing, bending, kneeling, and overhead welding. Ability to perform tasks requiring precision and attention to detail for long periods.
