Our manufacturing facility, located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, produces value added fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers. In this position you will be responsible for, but not limited to repair, fabrication/assemble on industrial equipment using welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools. The position is for 1 st shift 8am - 4pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine piping requirements. Can read and work with detailed drawings to fabricate pipes and tanks to a high degree of precision. Select type and size of pipe required. Calculate, measure, cut pipe to required shape using hand and power tools. Attention to detail and must be able to perform stainless steel welding functions at an acceptable standard level. Fabrication and installation of various piping and tanks for equipment. Layout, position, align, and secure pipes and tanks prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers. Knowledge of material sizes and stainless-steel specification of the product being worked on. Skills Must be capable of working under minimum supervision. Must work well with others. Can effectively communicate in both technical and user-friendly language, with all staff. Lead by example by demonstrating the importance of fostering a safe culture Job Requirements Current or previous CWB certifications in TIG welding - stainless preferred. Experience in sanitary welding /fitting and equipment installation. Experience as a sanitary TIG welder. Experience finishing stainless steel. Food and beverage equipment manufacturing is desired. Physical Requirements Ability to work with hand tools and power tools. Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods and work under various temperature conditions.
