Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Metal Trades Structural Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding and assembly of structural metal components, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications, safety standards, and industry codes. Your expertise in various welding techniques and metal fabrication processes will contribute to the successful completion of large-scale construction projects, manufacturing tasks, and structural assemblies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to quality craftsmanship and safety excellence. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding procedures and fabrication sequences. Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), welding on sheet metal, pipe, ductwork, and structural steel components. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts accurately. Measure materials with calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to ensure precise dimensions according to specifications. Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely for material handling and positioning during fabrication or installation. Conduct quality inspections using schematics, blueprints, and mechanical knowledge to verify weld integrity and component fit-up. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols outlined by ASME codes & standards and company policies. Experience Demonstrated proficiency in
MIG, TIG, FCAW
welding techniques across various materials including sheet metal and pipe components. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and the use of hand tools and power tools for fabrication tasks. Knowledge of rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy steel structures or equipment. Understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to structural welding and fabrication processes. Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control procedures.Pay:
