Job Description
Job Title:
Welder - 2nd Shift Job Description This role is ideal for an experienced production welder who is confident with MIG and TIG welding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will set up and adjust welding equipment, work from work orders and blueprints, and accurately log your time and job details in the computer system. The position is on 2nd shift and requires strong attention to detail, consistent quality, and the ability to adapt to changing jobs in a metal stamping job shop. Essential Skills At least 2 years of solid welding experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MIG welding, including MIG pulse processes. Ability to perform TIG welding as needed for production work. Demonstrated experience working from work orders, drawings, and blueprints. Ability to set up and adjust welding machines, including voltage and wire feed settings. Basic computer operating skills, including logging in and out of jobs and entering production information. Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise welding. High attention to detail to ensure weld quality and adherence to specifications. Ability to measure accurately using tools such as tape measures. High School Diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Additional schooling or training in metal fabrication is a plus. Experience in a metal stamping or job shop environment is beneficial. Basic math skills for measuring, calculating, and verifying dimensions. Ability to keep up with documentation and enter information accurately into computer systems. Strong adaptability and willingness to perform multiple job duties as needed. Ability to pass a weld test as part of the selection process. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.92 - $27.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
