Job Title:
Welder Job Description This role focuses on precision light metal TIG welding, working primarily with lighter gauge materials to support high-quality assembly and fabrication. You will produce accurate welds, maintain structural integrity, and contribute to a clean, organized production environment while following safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform light metal TIG welding on thin-gauge materials while maintaining high levels of precision and quality. Assemble and fabricate components using TIG welding techniques according to specifications and engineering requirements. Interpret and work from blueprints and schematic diagrams related to TIG weld joints to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Maintain consistent weld beads and ensure all welds meet structural integrity and quality standards for light metal fabrication. Adjust and troubleshoot welding equipment settings to optimize performance for light-duty TIG applications. Use specialized hand and power tools to perform post-weld finishing, cleanup, and preparation of completed parts. Follow established safety procedures and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and quality targets. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with light metal TIG welding processes. Ability to work confidently with thin-gauge materials while maintaining precision and quality. Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams related to TIG weld joints. Demonstrated ability to produce consistent weld beads and meet structural integrity standards in light metal fabrication. Skill in troubleshooting and adjusting welding equipment settings for light-duty TIG applications. Proficiency in using specialized hand and power tools for post-weld finishing and cleanup. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Demonstrated experience specifically with light metal TIG welding is highly preferred. Proven track record in maintaining precision and quality when working with lighter gauge materials. Experience in a production or fabrication environment with a focus on safety and organization. Work Environment The role is based in a clean, well-maintained, and highly organized production facility. The environment can get hot at times due to welding and fabrication activities, so you should be comfortable working in warmer conditions and around industrial equipment. You will work predictable shifts in a structured setting that emphasizes safety, organization, and efficiency, with appropriate personal protective equipment and tools provided to support your work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warwick, RI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
