Job Description

Job Summary:
A Welder/Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. This position requires proficiency in various welding techniques, metal fabrication processes, and the safe operation of fabrication equipment. This position requires a skilled Welder/Fabricator with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in welding and metal fabrication, capable of producing quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal materials using hand and power tools. Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Core welding as required. Assemble fabricated components and structures according to specifications. Inspect welds and finished products to ensure quality and compliance with standards. Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, presses, brakes, and plasma cutters. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures and regulations. Repair and modify existing metal structures and equipment as needed. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines. Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 3 years of welding and fabrication experience required. Welding certification preferred but not always required. Experience with MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core welding processes. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and tools. Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds. Stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the shift. Work in environments exposed to heat, noise, sparks, and metal dust. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Preferred Skills:
AWS welding certifications. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements.
Pay:
$30.00 per hour
