Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Welder to join our Spartanburg team, supporting the production of precision components used in hygienic and sanitary applications. This role combines hands-on welding of small parts with operation and oversight of automated welding equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting equipment issues, maintaining high quality standards, and working in a clean manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Welding & Production
  • Perform manual welding of small, precision components (primarily TIG, stainless steel)
  • Set up and operate automated welding equipment to support production needs
  • Ensure welds meet quality, strength, and sanitary standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings Equipment Operation & Troubleshooting
  • Monitor automated welders for proper function and output quality
  • Identify and resolve basic equipment issues, escalating when needed
  • Perform routine adjustments, preventive maintenance, and changeovers
  • Support continuous improvement of welding processes and cycle times Quality & Compliance
  • Inspect finished welds to ensure adherence to specifications and sanitary requirements
  • Maintain clean welds appropriate for hygienic applications
  • Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Document production and quality records as required Work Environment & Teamwork
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with sanitary manufacturing standards
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineering on improvements
  • Support cross-training across production areas as needed
  • Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols required
  • May involve standing for extended periods and handling small parts What Good Looks Like in This Role
  • Produces consistent, high-quality welds that meet sanitary standards
  • Quickly identifies and resolves basic equipment issues
  • Maintains a clean, organized workspace
  • Proactively suggests improvements to processes and efficiency
  • Works collaboratively and reliably within the team Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of welding experience, preferably with TI and stainless steel
  • Experience working with small or precision components
  • Ability to operate or learn automated welding equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
  • High attention to detail and quality standards Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in hygienic, sanitary, or regulated manufacturing (food, beverage, pharma, medical)
  • Familiarity with orbital or automated welding systems
  • Welding certification (TIG or related)

Bonus or Equity This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package. Pay Range The hourly pay range for this position in local currency is $18.85-35.
